Karen Kay Frantz, 83, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away on October 28, 2024, at her home.

She was born February 19, 1941, at Eureka, KS, the daughter of Louis Francis and Ina Ruth (Hays) Davis. She spent her childhood in  NW Woodson County and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1959. She moved to Topeka where she met Kenneth Nielsen. They were married and became the parents of a son, Roy. They moved to Tucson, AZ, and were later divorced. She was then married to Louis Frantz and they became the parents of two sons, Henry "Junior" Frantz and Samuel Frantz. They were later divorced and he preceded her in death. She then enjoyed the time she spent with her companion, Little Danny McBride, until his death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Pamela Paul; two  brothers, Francis and Gene Davis; and an infant brother.

Karen moved to Yates Center in 1976 and was employed at the sewing factory there until it closed. In her leisure time she loved to crochet blankets for grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and all of her adopted grandchildren.

She leaves her sons, Roy Nielsen, Moore, OK, Henry "Junior" Frantz, and Samuel Frantz, Waverly, KS; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Nielsen and Mary Frantz; a number of great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Graveside memorial services will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Yates Center Cemetery gazebo.
