Juliana M. "Julie" Sievers passed away early Friday, January 8, 2021, at the Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola, Kansas. She was 88 years old.

Juliana M. "Julie" Sievers, daughter of Peter J. and Marie F. (Massoth) Yohon, was born April 6, 1932, in Woodson County, KS.

On July 25, 1953, she and Francis Dean "Sonny" Sievers were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Yates Center. They purchased a farm in Perry Township in Woodson County where they lived until moving to Yates Center in 1985.

Julie worked as a sales clerk and a homemaker. She belonged to many different organizations and loved dancing, cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, quilting, along with many other activities. Julie never met a stranger and was loved by all that knew her. And to the "Fallen Angels Group" that took her to get her hair fixed, to lunch, and the coffee and conversation. She loved you all very much!

Her husband, Sonny, preceded her in death on September 7, 2016, following more than sixty- three years of marriage. She was also preceded by her parents; two brothers, Eugene and Robert Yohon; Ella Mae Sievers and an infant sister, Mildred Yohon.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary, Smith, of Andover, KS; her two sons, Richard Sievers and wife Suzanne of Yates Center, and Charles Sievers and wife Tammie of Yates Center; daughter Joni Diver and husband Joseph of Yates Center; an honorary daughter Debbie Soto and husband Hector of Everett, WA; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

A Rosary will be recited 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 19, 2020, with Mass following at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Yates Center. Inurnment will be in Owl Creek Cemetery. ALL THE SERVICES WILL BE FOR FAMILY ONLY DUE TO COVID-19.
