Judith (Judy) A. Paxson, 82, Burlington, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Vintage Park Assisted Living in Ottawa, Kansas. Judy was born on August 28, 1942, in rural Gridley, Kansas to Irvin and Marjorie (Birkbeck) Isch. She graduated from Lamont High School in 1960.

On June 1,1963, she married Thomas Paxson in Burlington, Kansas.

During her life, she and her husband Tom owned a grocery store and a restaurant in Ottawa, Kansas, as well as a motel and restaurant in Burlington. Judy also ran a daycare in her home for several years and worked at Burlington High School as a custodian.

Judy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Some of her favorite things to do included going to the Opry in Burlington and in Ottawa and going to coffee and out to eat with friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Tom, her parents, Irvin and Marjorie, and her brothers Sam Isch and Kenneth Isch.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Kelly), Clair, Burlington, KS, her son, Jeff (Rebekah), Paxson, Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren, Jared Dale (Fallon), Glennallen, AK, Joel Dale, Burlington, KS, Josh Dale, Emporia, KS, Kaitlin Bebout (Ryan), Kennard, NE, Jonas Paxson (Emily), Fremont, NE, Liam Paxson, Omaha, NE, and Elijah Paxson, Omaha, NE; as well as ten great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
