Judith Kay Bryan, 83, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away early Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Life Care Center in Burlington.

Judy was born January 13, 1942, at Wichita, KS, the daughter of Hubert and Ruby (Kellum) Germann. She spent her childhood in Wichita and graduated from high school there.

After high school she moved to Ohio where she worked as a Veterinarian Asst.

While in Ohio she became acquainted with Abraham Bryan. Judy and Abe were married on January 1, 1970, at Wichita. In 1972 they moved to Burlington. Judy managed the Peter Pan Ice Cream Store for several years and then worked at Country Critters for several years. She then became the Animal Control Officer for the City of Burlington. She served in that position for 17 years before retiring.

Judy loved animals, especially horses, and raising Yorkie puppies. In later years she enjoyed going on many Burlington Rec Center trips. Mostly, she enjoyed the time spent caring for her family.

Her husband, Abe, preceded her in death on December 26, 2000. She was also preceded by a brother, David Germann, and an infant sister.

Judy leaves her children, Roger Bryan (Paula), LeRoy, KS, and Theresa George (Charlie), Burlington; step-children, Barbara Storms, Berring Springs, MI, Jack Bryan, Plant City, FL, Carol Cowart, Hattiesburg, MS, Jerry Bryan, Brandon, FL, and Gwen Hunnycutt, Fayetteville, NC: five grandchildren, Heather Bryan, Jamie Hazen (Sam), Travis Bryan (Morgan), Ashley McGee, and Brandon George; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, John German (Sherry), Wichita, KS; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow in Bowman-Adgate Cemetery northwest of Burlington.

The family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
