Johnathon Robert Crouch, 71, of rural Yates Center, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, April 24, 2020, at his home.

John was born August 4, 1948, at Iola, Kansas, the son of Phillip and Lucille (Anderson) Crouch. He grew up on the family farm southeast of Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School. He then joined the United States Army and served in Viet Nam. Following his discharge he lived in Kansas City before returning to Yates Center. He then lived in Wichita until returning to Yates Center to help care for his father.

He was employed by the Kansas State Highway Department and also cared for his cattle and the farm.

He had attended the Assembly of God Church and the Christian Liberty Fellowship Church in Yates Center.

His father, Phillip Crouch, preceded him in death.

He leaves two children, Laura Wise and husband Dean of Kansas City, MO, and Michael Crouch and wife Riley of Edgerton, KS; two grandchildren, Danielle and Samantha; his mother Lucille Crouch of Yates Center; siblings, Phyllis Ann Ryan (James), El Dorado, KS, Orville Crouch (Lora), and Leticia Brandon of Yates Center; other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be in Yates Center Cemetery.
