Jacqueline Sue "Jackie" Kuron, 56, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away early Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola after becoming ill at home.

Jackie was born October 10, 1966, at Fort Scott, KS, the daughter of Everett and Sarah (Matlock) Franklin. She lived the majority of her life in Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1985.

On October 29, 1986, she and Eric James Kuron were married at Carbondale, KS. They became the parents of two sons.

Jackie worked at the sewing factory in Yates Center and then went to school and became a CNA. She worked for over 20 years at Yates Center Health & Rehab. She later was employed at the Yates Center Pharmacy and the Kimball Ranch before retiring in 2019 due to failing health. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Yates Center.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Franklin; her brother, Alan Franklin; and her sister, Sandra Franklin.

She leaves her husband, Eric; her sons, Christopher Kuron and wife Brooke and James Kuron and fiancé Sarina Powelson all of Yates Center; seven grandchildren, Beau, Bentlie, Faelen, Abigail, Roselyn, Gabriella, and Izzabella; her father, Everett Franklin of Yates Center; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home at Yates Center. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home.
