Ingrid Holt Icenhower (age 85) of Yates Center, KS went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She was born February 28, 1936 in Tacoma Park, MD to Oscar & Ellen Holt, both immigrants from Norway. Ingrid grew up, an adored only child, in Washington, D.C. After graduating from Anacostia High School, she attended Washington School for Secretaries. She had a career as a Legal Secretary in Washington, D.C.

On June 15, 1957, she married David Icenhower, Sr. and moved to Maryland where they raised their three children. She was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God from age 10 until her move to Kansas in 2018. She had a passion for her family & friends, the Washington Redskins, Jesus, theatre and all things social. She was bilingual, an avid traveler, and visited almost all fifty states. Ingrid was a boisterous, beautiful, and fun woman that loved people wholeheartedly and had many lifelong friends.

Her greatest source of pride was her family. She is survived by her three children: David Icenhower, Jr., Nancy Icenhower Kesler, and Lynne Icenhower Wendling. She has eight grandchildren: Michelette Moravick, Carrie Kesler, David (Beau) Icenhower III, Jessica Ingrid Sloan, Kristi Chaplin, Sean O'Neal, Shane O'Neal, and Kylie Wendling. She also doted over her eight great-grandchildren: Myah, Malachi, & Micah Njoroge; Xaiden & Carter Sloan; Naomi & Baby Chaplin; and was preceded in death by Oliver Moravick. She is also preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She left this world peacefully with family by her side. She will be buried with her husband in Maryland at a future date.
