Harvey Eugene Eccles was born on December 3, 1952, in Colony, KS, to Harvey Eugene Eccles and Juanita Bertha Errett. He passed away July 24, 2022.

Harvey attended Burlington public schools (Sept. 1958- Dec. 1964) and finished his school days at Gridley High School (Dec. 1964- May 1970).

After high school Harvey joined the U.S. Navy where he served for four years. He worked many jobs over the years from: farming, Beto Repair, IBP Emporia, Crane Oil, Haas Oil, Advanced Systems, Beacon Wolf Creek, R.C. Trucking, and Knight Trucking.

He married Deanna Kathleen Hugunin on April 24, 1982, and spent 40 wonderful years together. They have one son Joshua (Rashelle) Eccles and one grandson Beau of Douglass, KS.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Juanita Eccles.

He is survived by his wife Deanna Eccles, Son Joshua Eccles (Rashelle) of Douglass, KS, Brother Jim Eccles of Gridley, KS, Sister Peggy Ogden of Olathe, KS, Sister Barb Brumbaugh (Mike) of Manhattan, KS, Brother Dan Eccles (Mary) of Moore, OK, Brother Bob Eccles (Stella) of Gridley, KS, Brother Dwayne Eccles (Priska) of St. Mary, KS.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.

The family will meet with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Please use the north door to enter the funeral home.
