Gregory Scott Cook, 55, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Greg was born October 29, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Kenneth H. Cook and Marilyn R. Krauter. He grew up in Wichita, before his family moved to Hurst, Texas, where he graduated from L. D. Bell High School in 1983.

After high school, Greg joined the Navy for a short time, working as a Machinist's Mate. After his service, he moved to Yates Center, where he worked as a Digitrac Operator for Punchline. He then worked at Russell Stover Candy Factory in Iola until his health caused him to retire. Greg lived the rest of his life in Yates Center.

Greg was an artist and cartoonist. He had a big heart and loved animals and people. He loved to make people laugh and spend time with friends, especially his "gang of misfits."

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Greg is survived by his sister, Teressa Cook, Wichita; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been chosen. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2020, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center.
