Frankie Joe Parks, 86, of Yates Center, KS, passed away Thursday morning, January 1, 2026, at Medicalodge in Iola, KS.

He was born February 23, 1939, at Gas City, KS and was raised in that area.

On August 14, 1974, he and Linda Lou Karr were married at Iola. Linda preceded him in death on July 6, 2018.

He and Linda attended the Assembly of God Church in Yates Center.

Joe worked for Woodson Sanitation for 26 years. He was the best employee until he retired. He became a longtime friend to the Cummings'.

On September 15, 2022, he moved to Yates Center Health and Rehab. Following the fire there he moved to Oswego Health and Rehab and most recently had just moved to Medicalodge in Iola.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Bohard Vest and a brother, Virgil Bohard.

He leaves his caregivers, Mary and Floyd Green, other relatives and friends.

Private inurnment will take place in Yates Center Cemetery.

Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center is assisting the family.
