Everett G. Franklin, 91, of rural Yates Center, Kansas, passed away early Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home.

He was born August 7, 1933, at Walnut, Kansas, the son of Lloyd Theodore and Elvina Rachel (Goff) Franklin.

He and Sarah Frances Matlock were married and became the parents three children. They made their home on a farm northwest of Yates Center where Everett was a life-long farmer and rancher.

He was a member of the Turkey Creek United Methodist Church.

His wife, Sarah, preceded him in death on June 14, 1992. Everett also suffered the loss of his three children, Alan Franklin in 2011, Sandra Franklin in 2022, and Jacqueline Kuron in 2023. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Gilbert, and Vernard Franklin, and sisters, Jessie Zimmerman, Dorothy Miller, Pauline Zimmerman, Leona Zimmerman, and Peggy Franklin.

He leaves four grandchildren, Anthony Wiley (who along with his wife Heather cared for Everett in his final days), Ben Wiley (Sarah), Chris Kuron (Brooke), and James Kuron; several great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Campbell Funeral Home.
