Eva Kathleen Cobble Hess, 47, of Charleston, IL and Burlington, Kansas, passed away in Burlington, Kansas on December 9, 2019 after a long battle with Kidney Disease.

A service in Burlington, Kansas will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 15th 2019, at Jones Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday December 14th, 2019 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home.

Eva was born in Charleston, IL, on December 22, 1971 to George and Faye (Lang) Cobble. She married her soul mate, Vernon Lee Hess of Burlington, Kansas, on September 26, 2009, in Charleston, Illinois.

Eva is survived by her husband, Vernon Lee Hess of Burlington, KS, son, Brandon & (Phoenix) Young of Sullivan, IL; father, George Cobble of Charleston; stepchildren, Austin Lee Hess, Christen Leigh Workinger, Bryce Colton Hess, Steven Kyle Hess, and Casandra Dawn Kinder; and Phyllis Bachman- Step Mother.

She leaves behind her siblings in Illinois; Dave, Andy, and Mike Cobble, Georgia (Mark) Hillard, and Brenda (Brett) Britton. Her brothers and sister-in-law include Kenneth Alan Lloyd, Floyd A Hess Jr., and Julie Rae Young. She loved all of her many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and step grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with Vernon's grandchildren, like they were her very own.

Eva is with her deceased mother, Faye Cobble; brothers, Bob and Lance Cobble; Father in Law, Floyd A Hess Sr.; and Brother in Law, David Lloyd, -in her heavenly home.

Eva worked as a cosmetologist in the Charleston, IL area and later as an administrative assistant at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Mattoon, IL. She enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts while adding autographed t-shirts to her collection. Eva enjoyed accompanying Vernon to his archery tournaments and traveling together to getaways to the beach in Texas and California. She made numerous road trips in her PT Cruiser to visit her family in Illinois.

Eva touched the lives of so many people, everyone loved her for her compassion and genuine love for her family and friends. She will be missed by all. Eva was a greatly loved woman who lived life to the fullest. In her words, "I'm an average Jane; trying to be positive about life in general; I speak my mind when provoked, and I love my family and friends". She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She touched the lives of so many wonder people.
