Emma Jean Hollinger, 93, passed peacefully on December 14, 2020.  A lifelong Yates Center resident, she was born June 25, 1927 to Glenn E. Taylor and Cloe Opal (Dixon) Taylor.  She was the oldest of five children.

She was a homemaker and worked in retail sales, managing Village Fashions until her retirement.  She was a member of the Yates Center United Methodist Church, a 50 year member of the Golden Rod Chapter #163, American Legion Auxiliary and served on the Board of the Yates Center Public Library.

Emma was United in marriage on January 11, 1948, to Clark W. "Holly" Hollinger at Yates Center. They were the parents of two children, Robert and Carla. She and Holly suffered the loss of their daughter, Carla Jane Hollinger, on February 6, 2003. Holly preceded Emma in death on April 5, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister Freda Tilton; and three brothers,  Lyle Taylor, Norman Taylor and Ben Taylor.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bob and Diane Hollinger of Scottsdale, AZ, sister-in-law Joan Taylor of Oak Grove, MO, and sister-in-law Macky Taylor of Marion, KS, plus several nieces and nephews.

Emma Jeans sense of humor as well as love of family and friends will be missed by all who knew her.

Private family funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the nurses and staff at The Meadows in Burlington as well as Yates Center Health and Rehab for their wonderful care and compassion.
