Eldeen Decker-Meyer-Shiffer was born January 28, 1944 and passed away September 1, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Decker and Mary Arlene (Sutton) Decker; her first husband, Vincent Meyer, her second husband, Harvey Shiffer; her sisters Elizabeth (Betty Decker) Harreld and Beverly (Decker) Masri.

She is survived by her siblings David Decker and his family in California; Dwight Decker and his family in Waverly, KS; Catherine (Elaine Decker) Cline and her family in Kansas City, KS; Duane Decker and his family in Overland Park, KS; Denise Decker in North Kansas City, MO; Dale Decker and his family in Pickerington, OH, and Diana (Decker) Jaggars and her family in Orrick, MO; and Bandit, her cat. Eldeen also leaves many friends in the different places she lived.

Eldeen spent much of her childhood in Burlington, KS, and upon graduation from Mount St. Scholastica she dedicated her life to social work in Kansas City. Upon retirement she continued to help by volunteering with the Lebo Food Pantry.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at Burlington.

The family will meet with friends from 12:30 P.M. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
