Elaine L. Butterfield, 94, Waverly, died on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Sunset Manor in Waverly.

Elaine was born on February 1, 1928 in Lone Elm, Kansas to Irl and Bessie McCoy Smith.

On May 29, 1946, she married Keith Albert Butterfield in Topeka. Keith died on May 22, 1999.

Elaine was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Wanda Nelson, her brother, Daryl Smith, a son in law, Michael Campbell, a grand daughter, Mary Jo, and a great granddaughter, Dalley.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Keith (Becky) Butterfield, Jr, Collinsville, OK and Stan (Debbie) Butterfield, Westphalia, her daughters, Marsha Butterfield and Beverly Campbell, both of Topeka, a sister, Yvonne Callahan, Newton, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 1:30 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Waverly. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Waverly Methodist Church and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, KS  66839.
