Eileen Smith, age 71, passed way on Wednesday, March 25th in Richmond, Kansas. She was born July 21, 1954, in Holton, Kansas, to Wilbur and Rose Smith.

Eileen graduated from Yates Center High School in 1972 and later earned a bachelor's degree in music from Oregon State University. After college, she traveled throughout Europe for several years before returning to the United States, where she continued to travel extensively throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Smith.

She is survived by her brothers, Wesley (Linda) Smith and Warren (Rhonda) Smith; her nephews, Orion Smith, Adam Smith, Eric Smith, Travis (Kim) Clinesmith, Tyler (Megan) Clinesmith, and Jordan Smith; as well as other relatives and friends.

No services are planned. The family will scatter her ashes at a later date.
