Edwin "Eddie" G. Cooper. 80, of Burlington, KS passed away early Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his home.

He was born February 28, 1941 to Vance and Dorothy (Williamson) Cooper at their home in Woodson County.

Eddie was in the US Army from 1958 to 1960. He was in the National Guard reserves from 1960 to 1962.

Eddie was united in marriage with Karen Starbuck on June 23, 1961 at the Baptist Church in Ottawa, KS. They celebrated their 60 ^th Wedding Anniversary this past June with their family.

Eddie went to Barber College in 1961 after they were married. After Barber College he worked as a barber in Baldwin, KS. In 1965 they moved to Burlington, KS and opened up Eddie's Barber.  In the 70s he added a stereo store.  Eddie retired in 2006.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bill Cooper and his sister Leah Melroy.

Survivors include his wife Karen of the home; daughters Tina (Larry) Holley, Toni (Tim) Sipe; son Chad (Kerri) Cooper. Seven grandchildren Travis (Diamone) Sipe, Tesca (Seth) Michaelson, Tanner (Erika) Sipe, Shelbi (Taylor) Thomas, Zarek Holley, Caden Cooper and Carson Cooper. Two great grandchildren, Quillon Michaelson and Emmarie Sipe and one great grandchild to be born in October.

A private celebration of life service will be held.
