Dustene Renee Weston, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 30, 2019, after becoming ill at home.

Dustene was born November 6, 1962, in Okarche, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edgar Dean "Bud" and Karen (Pate) Beecher. She grew up on a farm southeast of Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1981.

On May 30, 1981, she and Rick Allen Weston were married at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Kansas.

Dustene was employed for more than 20 years as a Dietary Manager at Yates Center Health and Rehab. and later was employed a Hi-Way Food Basket and G & W Foods in Yates Center before retiring due to her health.

In her leisure time Dustene enjoyed crafts and being outdoors working in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Beecher.

She leaves her husband, Rick, of the home; her son, Josh Weston of Yates Center; her mother, Karen Beecher of Yates Center; two sisters, Deanna (Stevens) Johnson and Debbie Stevens; two brothers, Dale Beecher of Gas, KS, and Daryl Beecher of Yates Center; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

As to her wishes, Dustene will be cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date.
