Douglas Craig Espinosa, 65, of Burlington, Kansas, died tragically in a house fire on April 10, 2023.

Doug was born February 21, 1958, at Eureka, Kansas, the son of David Samuel Espinosa, Sr. and Julia Ann
Jones Espinosa.

He served in the United States Navy.

He had worked designing GPS software, as a bounty hunter, and at the IT department at Coffey County
Hospital in Burlington. Most recently he was a Jail Corrections Officer at the Lyon County Jail in Emporia
until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, David Espinosa, Jr. in 2013 and Donald
Shayne Espinosa in 2021.

On June 24, 2006, he and Lauren Denise Holmes were married. She survives. Also surviving are Lauren's
daughters, Alexandria Morgan, Ava Ryanee Stapleton, and Laci Smith; two step-grandchildren; other
relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services are pending. Jones Funeral Home in Burlington assisting the
family.
