Douglas Edward Dwyer

February 26, 1958 – November 28, 2025

Douglas (Doug) Edward Dwyer, 67, of Toronto Kansas was peacefully called home to live eternal life with Jesus on Friday November 28, 2025, while holding the hand of his beloved wife and surrounded by his family. Born on February 26, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas to Ralph and Patsy Dwyer, Doug lived a life of servant leadership, strong work ethic, and an incredible sense of humor.

Born and raised in Wichita, Doug graduated from Southeast High School in 1976. Shortly after, he met his soulmate, Julie (Hanning) Dwyer, when he wowed her with his charming looks and sense of humor. The two were married on September 2, 1978, and celebrated 47 years of marriage this year. It wasn't long after marriage that Doug started a construction remodeling business, Doug Dwyer Construction, which allowed him to merge his passions for business ownership and fine, quality craftsmanship for 38 years before retiring and moving full time to Toronto in 2017. Doug and Julie have two daughters, Amy and Erin, both also born and raised in Wichita.

Doug is survived by his devoted wife Julie; his daughters Amy (Chris) Seibel and Erin (Justin) Nichols; and his grandchildren who brought him great joy: Ryleigh and Braxton Seibel; Savannah, Corbin and Dylan Nichols. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A memorial service followed by a celebration of Doug's life will be held on Sunday, December 28th, at 2:00 P.M. at Christian Liberty Fellowship in Yates Center, Kansas. We invite all who knew and loved Doug to join us in honoring his memory.
