Doris Ann Hutchinson, 89, died October 29, 2025, at McCrite Plaza of Topeka. She was born March 21, 1936, in Kirksey, KY, to LaVerne and Frieda (Carson) Graham. Doris worked for Hallmark in Emporia before she became a stay-at-home mom when her son, David, was born. She enjoyed sending greeting cards of all occasions to her friends and family, talking on the phone and watching TV.

On May 3, 1958, she married Samuel A. Hutchinson in Springville, TN. They shared almost 60 years of marriage before Sam died March 8, 2018.

Doris is survived by: siblings-in-law, Kathleen Hutchinson of Lebo, Pat Dalby of Burlington, Melva Selby of Emporia, Leon (Beth) Hutchinson, Moore, OK, Orville Hutchinson, Lebo, Sharyl (Bill) Bolyard, Joyce Nihiser all of Osage City, Trudy Hutchinson of Emporia; 3 grandchildren; great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Anne Hutchinson; nephews, Rod Jones and Mark (Phyllis) Jones of KY; and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean (Wade) Jones; and son, David Hutchinson.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, at Graceland Cemetery, Burlington, with Reverend Jay Hale officiating.
