Donna Jean Knapp, 88, of Burlington, KS, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Sunset Manor in Waverly.

Donna was born January 6, 1934, at Gridley, KS, the daughter of Owen and Ethel Samuel. She attended Burlington Highschool and graduated May of 1952.

She married Clarence Herman Knapp, on September 12, 1952, in Burlington, KS. They had four children, Chris, Scott, Valorie, and Rashelle.

Donna Was a businesswoman before her time. She owned and operated Calico Cupboard and The Wardrobe, both clothing stores in downtown Burlington. She also ran Victorian Memories a Bed and Breakfast where she enjoyed meeting many people.  She also ran a thrift shop and taught Sunday school, as well as hosted bible discussion groups at her home.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Owen Samuel Jr. and Ethel Samuel, and her husband Clarence Herman Knapp.

She is survived by her children, Chris (Patti) Knapp, Deltona, FL, Scott (Ruth) Knapp, Burlington, KS, Valorie (James) Higgins, Burlington, KS, Rashelle (Brad) Danner, New Smyrna Beach, Fl. Sister Barbra Stallard, Lenexa, KS, a nephew Sam (Jodi) Stallard and niece Stacy (Blake) Welch, As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Friday, Nov 25, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Jones Funeral Home, The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 P.M.
