Donna Mae (Smith) Halfmann, age 96, passed away peacefully January 4th, 2021 due to Congestive Heart Failure.

She was born February 27, 1924 in Yates Center, Kansas, to Walter and Valarie Smith. She graduated from Yates Center High School and moved to Wichita, Kansas. She worked at Boeing Aircraft plant as a dispatcher during WWII.  She returned to Yates Center in 1945 to marry Henry J. Halfmann at St Joseph Catholic Church on October 18, 1945. They soon moved back to Wichita to start their married life working and starting their family. Henry and Donna celebrated 75 years of marriage before Donna's Death.

Donna was a dedicated mother first, raising two sons along with Henry. She also worked outside the home for over 45 years in an office executive  and ended her career as an executive Secretary with a Major Grocery Wholesaler in Phoenix, Arizona.

Donna and Henry worked hard and enjoyed life to the fullest. They loved to remodel homes throughout their lives, which called for several moves in Wichita, as well as moving to Phoenix in 1964, and for a brief stint they moved to San Juan Capistrano, California. They then moved back to Hutchinson, Kansas, and then finally to the Minneapolis, MN area to be close to their youngest son. Donna loved to dance, and she loved Bingo and many card and table games as well as crossword puzzles and Suduko. She and Henry traveled all over the US in their travel trailer, enjoying all the many wonderful areas of the United States.

Donna is survived by her husband Henry; her son, Stan Halfmann, along with three grandchildren, Danny Halfmann, Allyson Halfmann, and Steven Halfmann (Anna Halfmann). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Brook Halfmann, Emery Halfmann, and Porter Halfmann, and a sister, Dorothy Broadman, of Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her oldest Son, Jerry Halfmann, her parents Walter and Valerie Smith, and her sister, Mary Moore.

Cremation will occur in Minneapolis and there will be a Catholic Graveside Burial in Yates Center at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 9, 2021.
