Donald Harvey Williamson, 84, of rural Hartford, Kansas, passed away early Wednesday, August 07, 2019, at his home.

He was born January 23, 1935, in Burlington, Kansas, the son of Harvey and LaVerne (Hamman) Williamson. He grew up on a farm south of Hartford and later the family moved to Wichita. Harvey decided to bring his family back to the farm and Don worked with his Dad milking cows and farming. Don always said he wanted to leave the farm a better place than he found it.

He and Mary Lea Truelove were married in August of 1955. They moved to a farm south of Hartford where they raised three sons, Daniel, David, and Ronald.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Don leaves Mary Lea, his wife of 64 years; his three sons; a sister, Barbara Boren; a brother, Larry Williamson and wife Gloria; many other relatives and friends.

Don's wishes were to be cremated with no services. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Jones Funeral Home in Burlington is assisting the family.
