Debbie Jean Babb Goodale, 62, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Debbie was born December 18, 1958, in Iola, KS, the daughter of Marshall "Wimp" and Doris June (Dillon) Goodale. She grew up in Yates Center and attended Yates Center High School. She made her home in Yates Center with the exception of several years spent in Dodge City, KS, in the 1990's. She had been employed at Johnson's General Store in Yates Center and had been a CNA at the nursing home there. She was a member of Golden Rod Chapter #163, Order of the Eastern Star, in Yates Center. In her leisure time she loved to fish.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Shorty" Phillips; her parents; and a great-granddaughter, Skye Berntsen.

She leaves her children, Mike Phillips of Neodesha, KS, Trina Urfer (Brian) of Chanute, KS, and Shauna Berntsen (Brandon) of La Harpe, KS; 9 grandchildren, Danielle, Trinity, Jesse, Bella, Baylee, Isabelle, Hunter, Jaxson, and Jaiden; a great-granddaughter, Ensley; a sister, Vicki Tate; a brother, Gerry Goodale of Hope, KS; a special friend, Tina Church of Yates Center; other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date. Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center is assisting the family.

Debbie was a free spirit and enjoyed life. She will be missed.
