David D. DeMoss, 59, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington after becoming ill at home.

He was born January 25, 1963, at Burlington, the son of Quinten C. and Dorothy (Morris) DeMoss. He grew up in Burlington and attended the Burlington schools.

On March 20, 1982, he and Penny Heimann were married. They became to parents of a son, Christopher. They were later divorced.

David had worked at American Metals in LeRoy, and Charloma, Walmart, and Pizza Hut in Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Quinten DeMoss, and two sisters, Cynthia DeMoss and DeeAnn DeMoss Jackson.

He leaves his son, Christopher DeMoss, Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and his wife Samantha; a grandson, Quinten Edward DeMoss; his mother, Dorothy Bell, Burlington; a brother, Larry DeMoss, Strong City, KS; a sister, Marcia Plott and husband Ralph, Burlington; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 7, 2022, at the United Methodist Church in Burlington.
