Craig Sauder of rural Gridley, Kansas, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 16, 2023, surrounded by family and friends, at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. He was 60.

He was born June 24, 1962, the son of Howard and Floie (Hubbard) Sauder.  He graduated from Burlington High School in 1980.

He spent his life on the family farm and cattle ranch, working closely with his parents and rural neighbors. He enjoyed being outdoors and doing what he loved. He was a quiet man, and was a devoted caregiver of his mom and dad when their health failed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Michelle.

He is survived by one uncle, Frank Hubbard of Chanute, Kan.; one aunt, Pam Knowles of Warsaw, Mo.; and several cousins.

His body will lie in state from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, April 21, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.

Graveside services will be held at Virgil Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22.
