Cora Elaine Morey, 71, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at the Anderson County Hospital in Garnett after becoming ill at home.

Cora was born June 24, 1948, in Torrance, California, the daughter of Elbert Ray and Virginia Clara (Fowler) Hatch.

On December 27, 1969, she and Roy Von Morey I, were married in Riverside County, California. They lived in Elsinore, California, Dallas, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada, and following Roy's retirement they moved to Yates Center, Kansas, and LeRoy, Kansas, before moving to Garnett in 2013. Roy preceded her in death on December 25, 2014.

Cora leaves her children, Jamie Hatch of Garnett, Roy Von Morey II and wife Joann of Old Forge, Pennsylvania, Kevin Lee Morey in California, and Amy Houston and husband Dan of Garnett; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jenny Enninga of Belton, Missouri, and Portia Hamilton of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Ray Hatch of Sun City, California; many other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be with her husband in Bowman-Adgate Cemetery northwest of Burlington.
