Constance Diane Jones 79, Passed away January 11, 2022, at Newman Regional Hospital in Emporia, Kansas. She was born June 4, 1942, to Howard Winterscheid and Deloris (Endsley) Winterscheid. She grew up on the Winterscheid farm south of Gridley and attended Nickeltown school thru 8 ^th grade, Yates Center High School for 2 years and graduated from Gridley High School in 1960. On February 5, 1961 she married Charles (Chuck) Jones and made their home in rural Gridley. They became the parents of 3 children Kim (rural Gridley), Kayla (Gridley) and Kirk (rural Yates Center).

Her and Chuck ran a cattle operation with their family and always made work feel like fun. We have so many wonderful memories of cattle drives with the whole family and grandkids fast asleep in the pickup that Grandpa and Grandma jones were driving. Connie loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed hosting Sunday dinners for the entire family, every Sunday! She attended many ballgames, concerts, plays and birthday parties and was always so proud of all her kids. She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers, small garden, and her chickens. Everyone was welcome at her table; you never knew who may be at Sunday dinner. She will be so missed by all of us.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Malinda Hildebrand, and her husband Chuck On October 18, 1998.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Sheila and Dan Henson, Emporia and sister-in-law Sharon Franceour, Topeka. Her three children Kim (Greg) Bashaw, Kayla (Denny) Kraft and Kirk (Kim) Jones. Grandchildren Nikki (Wes) Houston, Brent (Cameo) Kraft, Staci (Danny) Hallowell, Dillon (Anna) Kraft, Laura Bashaw & Pepper, Luke (Amber) Kraft, Austin (Ashley) Joyce, William Joyce and her adopted Grandchildren Josh (Rachelle) Eccles and Rhayne Snovelle. 12 Great- Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will meet with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 16, at Jones Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 17, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, KS. Burial will follow at Gridley Cemetery.
