Clara Ruth Williams, 93, Burlington, died on October 28, 2018, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

Clara Ruth was born on August 22, 1925, north of Burlington, to Floyd and Adaline Kelly Skillman.

On June 7, 1943, she married Roger Wesley Williams in Iola. They were the parents of two sons and three daughters. Roger died on June 24, 2005.

Clara Ruth grew up in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1943. She was a member of the New Strawn Community Christian Church. She had been a charter member of the 4-Club, also a member of E.H.U. the Bean Grange, Stringtown Cemetery Board, Coffey County Cancer Support Group, and had been a 4H leader. Besides working on the farm, she owned and operated a Ceramic Shop in New Strawn and made wonderful Wedding cakes.

Clara Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Cathy Wilson, five brothers, Oliver, John, Albert, Claude, and Ralph, and three sisters, Mary Ellen Salava, Adeline Hess, and Letha Povenmire, and a grandson, Sonny Beyer.

She is survived by her sons, Mike (Linda) Williams, Carbondale, and Kim (Siska) Williams, Burlington, two daughters, Sharon (Kim) Beyer, Gridley, and Marianne (Barry) Goffe, Burlington, 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 2, 2018, at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stringtown Cemetery, north east of Burlington.
