Cindy Lou Fouser, of Jacobs Creek in Coffey County Kansas, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2019, at her home. She was 57 years of age.

Cindy was born on June 2, 1962, in Washington State. She was raised by her mother Rose Pope and her father James Dawson. Growing up, Cindy spent most of her childhood in Kansas City, Kansas, and graduated from Turner High School in Wyandotte County.

Cindy then spent years moving around from place to place, living a full and adventurous life on her own terms. She eventually met and married Bill Fouser in 2012, and they settled down in New Strawn, Kansas. After moving to New Strawn, she worked at various locations including Chrisman Hardware, and her favorite job, Huff's Garden's, where she worked until it closed. Most recently she was employed at the quick shop in Hartford where she worked until her ongoing health issues wouldn't allow it. She and her husband Bill made their home in Jacobs Creek for the past five years.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Bill Fouser; her children, Rebecca Nelson and her husband Caleb; Nathaniel Kooken; Joshua Pope; Jennifer Pope; her step-son William Fouser; nine grandchildren; three sisters Cheryl Taylor, Lani Benton, and Kathy Clark; and many other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned.

Memorial services will be held 6:30 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2019, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.
