Charles Henry True, 90, of Burlington, KS, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Life Care Center in Burlington where he had been a resident since 1973.

Charles was born October 16, 1934, at Emporia, KS, the son of Christian George and Mildred Marie (Nauertc) True. His mother died during child birth and he was raised for several years by his Grandmother Nauertc and them in the home of his Uncle and Aunt, Ernst and Mary (True) Becker. He attended school at Aliceville, LeRoy, and Westphalia,, graduating from Westphalia, KS, High School on May 17, 1957. Charles was born afflicted with spastic paralysis and was handicapped with Cerebral Palsy.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Aliceville.

He loved sports of all kind and would often watch the same game twice.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Melba (Crome) True; and his foster parents, Ernst and Mary Becker.

He leaves two half-sisters, Joan Fischer and Linda Parks; numerous cousins; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. He will be buried next to his mother in Quisling Cemetery southwest of Aliceville.
