Carolyn Jane Walker, 87, passed away January 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born July 17, 1937, in LeRoy, to Maud Marie Manson and William Chase Stelter. Jane was born in the house she grew up in and resided in the same home most of her life, also living in California and Virginia with her husband Vernon during his military career and passed away at Parkview Heights Care Center in Garnett. Jane graduated from LeRoy High School in 1955. She was a devoted homemaker and Navy wife. In later years, she owned her own restaurant, Jane's Place.  Common words you'd hear upon entering Jane's Place were: "Order Out!"

Jane married Dale Clifton Anderson and to that union two daughters were born, Tammy and Kimberley. Jane and Dale later divorced.

Jane then married Vernon Frank Walker on August 13, 1966, in LeRoy at her home. To that union a son was born, Daniel. Jane and Vernon shared 25 years of marriage before he died on August 22, 1991.

Jane is survived by: children, Tammy Mitchell and husband Phil of Leesburg, FL, Kimberley Murray and husband Greg of LeRoy, Daniel Walker of LeRoy; grandchildren, Shona Houston of Shawnee, Shelli Cole and husband Bill of Burlington, Cody Murray and wife Jovana of Pueblo, CO; great grandchildren, Hunter, Remington, Kimber Cole, Hudson and Cayden Murray.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Max Manson, Madeline Wilson, Sue Anglin, Evelyn Jenkins, and Shirley Johnson.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home, Burlington, with Lloyd Houk officiating. Burial will follow in LeRoy Cemetery.

Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, at the funeral home.
