Carlyn Renee "Korkie" Pyles, 66, of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away early Monday, October 28, 2024, at her home.

She was born November 9, 1957, in California, the daughter of Kendall Webster Sessions, Jr. and Helen (Garn) Sessions. The family lived in various locations during Korkie's childhood including Illinois and New Hampshire, before moving to Burlington, KS in 1971. Korkie graduated from Burlington High School in 1976.

On July 13, 1984, she and Tommy Lee Pyles were married at Olathe, KS. They lived in numerous locations and shared many adventures before settling in Pittsburg.

Korkie was a talented artist having sold a number of her paintings. She also loved working in her yard caring for her flowers and plants.

She was preceded in death by parents.

She leaves Tom, her husband of more than 40 years; two daughters, April Griffin and Carrie Graham; four grandchildren, Helyn Pyles, Kira Graham, Ari Graham, and Isaac Griffin; her siblings, Kendal Webster Sessions, III, Garlyn Muriel Jackson, Keith William Sessions, Kristin Julene Luis, Kellie Dawn Bowling, and Kenda Nell Ottinger; many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery east of Burlington, KS.
