Carita Sue "Rita" Baker, 70, Madison, died on July 3, 2019 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas.

Rita was born on January 19, 1949, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Deby and Rosie McKenzie DeVore.

Rita grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas and graduated from Cutter-Morning Star High School.

She had worked for the Life Care Center and Casey's General Store in Burlington, Kansas. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Hot Springs.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jamie, and four sisters, Ammidell Hartley, Fay Fischer, Eunice Mathews, and Daisy Mae Kelly.

Rita is survived by her brother, Furman DeVore and his wife Pat, of Royal, Arkansas, her close friend, Donna Presley, Madison, Kansas, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at the Graceland Cemetery, Burlington, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.
