Leota Maylene Kellerman, 91, died Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson, KS.

She was born November 30, 1925, the daughter of Herbert and Cecil (Hostetler) Smith. She graduated from Allen High School in 1943.

On January 31, 1949, she and Byron Lee Kellerman were married in Emporia, KS.

Leota worked at the SRS in Sedgwick County until retirement in 1988.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jauernig, Luella Benson, and Cecelia Means.

Byron Lee "Bob" Kellerman, 92, of Hutchinson, died October 11, 2018, at Waldron Place in Hutchinson.

He was born August 31, 1926, in Burlington, KS, the son of John Lewis and Ella Ida (Mozingo) Kellerman.

He was a retired employee after 32 years of service at Beech Aircraft as a contractual agreement representative. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1944, and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a fireman on the railroad in addition to his work at Beech. After his retirement he and Leota moved to Sterling, KS. Leota, the love of his life, preceded him in death on August 19, 2017, following more than 68 years of marriage.

Leota and Bob are survived by their daughters, Rhonda Kellerman of Centennial, Colorado, and Mona McClellan and husband Steve of Sterling, KS; two grandchildren, Matt McClellan and Alleshia Benward and husband Andrew; five great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Graceland Cemetery in Burlington, Kansas.
