Billy Bob Lockhart, 85, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, at his home.

He was born February 4, 1940, at Ingalls, OK, the son of Francis Ben "Frank" and Bessie Lereba (Vogt) Lockhart. He spent his childhood in Ingalls and graduated from Quay High School. He later attended Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, MO.

On March 31, 1990 he and Valorie Houdyshell were married at Iola, KS. They had a blended family of four children.

Bill spent his life pastoring and preaching the Gospel at various churches over the years. He also worked as a contractor doing construction, roofing and painting projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Leah Martinez; two brothers, Frank and Gail Lockhart; a sister, Mary Rosalee Bartlett; and an infant brother.

He leaves his wife, Valorie, Burlington, his children, William Leon Lockhart (Jennifer), Oklahoma City, OK, Brenda Joan Rodman, Chanute, KS, Brian Lee Lockhart, Burlington, and Allen Eugene Lockhart, Michigan Valley, KS; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Allen Dean Lockhart (Pame); several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 2PM Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Faith Bible Church in Chanute, KS.

Memorial contributions may be made out to Valorie Lockhart to be dispersed to several different missionary and missions projects which were very close to Bills heart, and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
