Billie Ann Cummins, 96, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Lynn Care Center.

Ann was born October 3, 1927, in Burlington, Kansas, to the late Frank and Vira Wagoner.  She was the third of eight children.  She grew up in and around Brown County and attended Fairview Grade School. Her Great Aunt Sadie Stone offered to send her to Burlington High School, so Ann moved to Burlington to live with her Aunt Sadie until she graduated in 1945.

She met and married William H. (Bill) Cummins on October 27, 1945. The couple moved to California for a short time, then moved back to Kansas to farm. The couple had four children, three girls and one boy.  On November 6, 1966, her husband Bill died in an accident.

Ann remarried to Victor Post a year later but they divorced after ten years of marriage. She married a third time in 1987 to Eugene Clapp, a retired Army Warrant Officer, Gene Passed away approximately three years later from complications of a surgical procedure.

Ann's education included the following: Graduate of Burlington High School in 1945, Burlington Kansas; An Associate Degree in Business from Victoria Junior College, Victoria, Texas in 1968; master's in real estate from American College of Real Estate,1978; Correspondence Courses in Mortgage Law I & II and FHA & VA Foreclosures, and Graduated from a two year ministerial training program from Rhema Bible Training Center, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in 1992.

Ann worked several years in civil service as an administrative assistant and a loan approval officer in a home loan company. She started doing missionary work graduating Rhema to include Christian summer camps, Indian Reservation work, Christian Appalachian Projects (CAP) in Lancaster, Kentucky and Ministering in several Nursing homes in Kansas.  Ann moved to Virginia in 2020 to live with Carol and Ernie (husband), so she could devote her missionary work with CAP in Kentucky and Nursing Homes in the Virginia area,

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Cummins November 6, 1966; two infant daughters, Ellen Marie 1948, and Brenda June, 1955, her third husband Eugene, and her sisters, Grace "Mickie" Ashton and Becky Peden.

Surviving Ann are her children, Carol Bomar (Ernie) of Front Royal, Virginia; and William Bruce Cummins (Marsha) of Spring Hill, Kansas and her sisters, Bessie Penrod of Soldier, Kansas, Zohna Turner of Ozark, Arkansas, and Wanza Saxton of Horton, Kansas; her four grandchildren Julie Maguire (Paul); Jamie Lewis (Lyell); Wm Jason Cummins (Jessica); Christi Pratz (Chad); and ten great-grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
