Betty Joyce Clarkson, 91, Waverly, died at the Sunset Manor on Thursday, October 10, 2019.

Betty was born on November 21, 1927, in rural Coffey County, Kansas to Charlie and Grace Fox Knight.

Betty graduated from Waverly High School in 1945. On August 8, 1945, she married Donald E. Clarkson at the Coffey County Courthouse. They were the parents of two sons. Don died on December 19, 2007.

Betty had been a member of the Lucky Grange and various other ladies' groups.

Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Gladys and Vera, and two brothers, Hansel and Charles.

Betty is survived by her sons, Paul (Diana) Clarkson and Jerry (Lee Ann Pock) Clarkson, both of Waverly, three grandchildren, Greg (Pam) and Jeff (Dakota) Clarkson, and Lacie (Aaron) Ludolph, two great grandchildren, Lucas (Alyssa) and Nicholas, a great great granddaughter, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 14, 2019, at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. The family will receive friends 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., on Sunday at the funeral home.
