Bessie L. Bent, 87, Osage City, died on December 28, 2019, at Peterson Assisted Living.

She was born on July 13, 1932, in Atlanta, Nebraska, to Walter John and Gracie Ann Borden Lanning.

On August 4, 1951, she married Curtis J. Bent, in Minden, Nebraska. They were the parents of a son and daughter. Curtis died in 1987.

She was preceded also by her parents, a brother, Harold Iliff and his wife Bea, and a sister, Leona Mae Peek.

Bessie is survived by her son Dennis Bent, Osage City, her daughter, Cindy Craft and her husband Chris, Sapphire, North Carolina, a sister, Elsie Marie Skaggs, Illinois, five grandchildren, Chasity Warren, Sherry Bent, Candace Hodges, Victoria Sepulveda, and Nick Jones, and sixteen great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at the Strawn Cemetery at Jacobs Creek. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Garden at St. Andrews Chapel, P.O. Box 62, Lake Tox, NC 28747.
