Audrey Faye (Norman) Keith passed away July 29, 2022 at the Sunset Manor in Waverly, KS.  She had been a resident there since December 2021 and had lived at The Meadows, Burlington, KS for four years prior to that.

Audrey was born January 31, 1934 to John and Fern (Kukuk) Norman.  Audrey grew up on the Norman family farm south of Waverly, KS with her four older siblings – Adelia, Evelyn, Iva and John Wayne.

Audrey attended Glendale school south of Waverly through the 8 ^th grade.   When Audrey was a freshman, she moved to Burlington with her sister Iva and cousin Arlene so she could attend Burlington High School.   She graduated from Burlington High School in the class of 1952.  After high school Audrey worked at Duckwalls and at Peoples National Bank.  Audrey lived in Burlington her entire life.

Audrey married Wayne William Keith at the Burlington Christian Church in Burlington, KS. on October 18, 1953.   Wayne and Audrey raised two daughters and acquired 2 sons-in-law:  Dana (Steve) Loomis, Evergreen, CO and Shelley (Jim) Black, Newton, KS.  Wayne and Audrey later divorced.

Audrey has one grandson, Eric Loomis, Nashville, TN and two granddaughters, Carissa Loomis, Lakewood, CO and Christen (Nathaniel) Martens, Whitewater, KS and two great grandchildren, Neely and Bodey Martens.

When her daughters were growing up, Audrey served as a girl scout and 4-H leader. She assisted Dana and Shelley with their numerous 4-H projects and was also involved in a weekly coffee group.  After Audrey raised her daughters, she returned to work at Peoples National Bank and continued working there until she retired in 1999.

For many years during her retirement, Audrey volunteered at the Coffey County Hospital gift shop and information desk.  She was once again able to enjoy having coffee with her friends three times a week at local restaurants.  Audrey was known for making her famous frosted sugar cookies for family and friends on holidays and other special occasions.  Audrey's other hobbies included tending to her flowers, shopping and taking walks in her neighborhood.  For many years she also enjoyed hosting the numerous Norman Family Christmas gatherings.

Audrey was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Fern (Kukuk) Norman her brother John Wayne Norman, sisters Adelia Ritchey, Evelyn Kimmell , Iva Bowen and her niece, Marilyn Dugger and nephew, Dallas Bowen.

Visitation will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2 ^nd at Jones Funeral Home, Burlington, KS.  Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home.  Burial at Graceland Cemetery, Burlington, Kansas.
