Audra Jane (Lafferty) Hughes, 88, long-time resident of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 9, 2025, at Star Living in Lawrence, KS.

She was born June 13, 1937, the daughter of James Elbert "Ted" and Lois Lenore (Morris) Lafferty.

On April 12, 1973, she and James Ray Hughes were married. They became the parents of a son.

Her husband, Jim, preceded her in death on June 21, 2016. She was also preceded by her parents; a brother, Morris Lafferty; and an infant brother, Darrel Lynn Lafferty.

She leaves her son, Harlan Hughes, Eskridge, KS; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 15, 2025, at Key West Cemetery east of Lebo, KS.
