Andrew "Andy" Scott Wright, Gracious Son, Honored Brother, Beloved Uncle

Andrew Scott Wright, 48, passed on Thursday, July 21st, 2022, at his Yates Center home.

Andy was born December 18th, 1973, in Iola, KS to Daniel L and Jo Ann Wright. Andy was born with Cerebral Palsy but that never stopped him from experiencing gratification in his life. In 1993, Andy graduated from Yates Center High School. While he never attended college, he did enjoy spending countless hours soaking up knowledge on the world around him.

Andy loved to spend his time online conversing with and getting to know likeminded people. He was an avid collector of many things including movies, action figures, and retro video games. Though shy he was never afraid to voice his opinions. Andy was consistently a happy, smiling face in the room and was always eager to share his newfound wisdom with anyone who would listen.

While Andrew never married nor had children of his own, he was surrounded by family who wholeheartedly loved him. He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Wright; siblings, Bonni Crane, and Daniel J Wright; 8 nieces and nephews, Kyle Crane, Kristin Wright, Travis Crane, Logan Wright, Chloe Crane, Spencer Crane, Hailey Crane, and Hannah Crane.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel L Wright, grandparents, Howard and Norma Wright, Frank and Anna Bond.

Andy will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his infinitely kind, gentle soul and for a laugh that could quickly change the mood of any room.

Visitation will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center on Wednesday, July 27th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Graveside Services will on Thursday, July 28th at 1:00 PM at Yates Center Cemetery. Flower donations are welcome.
