Allen Pugh, 75, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 28th in Burlington, KS.

When Allen was a young boy, his father was in the Air Force and they moved to Alaska. This is when he met and married Donna Gilbert.

Allen spent 30 years as the Environmental Services Supervisor at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Upon retirement in 1998, he and Donna moved to Le Roy, KS. He quickly realized that retirement was not for him. So, he started working for Hoover's Thriftway and later Coffey County Transportation, working for them for 17 years. He also started his own lawn mowing company.

Allen loved helping others so he also was a retired firefighter and a member of the masonic lodge. He also loved his Goldwing Motorcycle Club that he was a member of.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind his wife of nearly 45 years, Donna, a daughter Terisa (Ted) Jensen of Anchorage, AK, two sons, William Couey of Fairbanks, AK, and William (Dana) Pugh of Anchorage, AK. Granddaughters Haley and Sydni Jensen, Samantha and Jordan Couey, and Briannah and Kylie Pugh, two sisters Judy Hannaman and Barbara Ratcliff both of AK. as well as may other family and friends.

Memorial contributions can be sent to the Le Roy Fire Department or the Coffey County Cancer Support Group, and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home.
